Melbourne is a city I keep re-visiting for her amazing food and great shopping potential (think discount chemist and unbeatable summer sales).
During my last two trips, I lugged an elevated double pet bowl stand back to Singapore because where else could I find a stand made of bamboo that’s A$12? It’s too good a deal to miss!
In this post, I will share with you interesting Melbourne pet shops and finds that are easy to locate. After all, it’s our duty to bring home gifts to make up to your pet for being away.

Melbourne pet shops that you have to visit!
1. The Pet Grocer
I was particularly interested in their Herbal Wormer (a natural dewormer), which contains ingredients like burdock root and turmeric. However, I was caught off guard by the price tag – AUD 46 for a small bottle, which resulted in me swiftly putting it back on the shelf. With that said, I would likely buy it the next time just to satisfy my curiosity!
The good news is, you can easily find them while exploring
The Pet Grocer @ South Melbourne Market
The Pet Grocer @ Coventry Street
2. Target
Target Australia‘s pet section may be tiny but good bargains await! The aforementioned cheap A$12 bamboo pet stand (stainless steel bowls) I got is from Target. You would also find treat jars, bowls, walk accessories, absorbent towels, and more at reasonable prices.
3. South Yarra Veterinary Centre & Boutique
I was in a Uber when I passed by this stylish South Yarra Veterinary Clinic and it instantly got me screaming #vetgoals.
Even though I didn’t get to step foot in the boutique, the first impression and online photos look promising enough. They carry great brands like Nice Digs, Essential Dog, and Cloud7. Check it out if you are going shopping at Chapel Street!
4. Petbarn
Petbarn has pet supplies stores across Australia. With its iconic yellow branding, it should be pretty easy for you to find one in Melbourne. Go there and discover brands and products that are not available in Singapore!
5. My Pet Warehouse
My Pet Warehouse claims that they are the number one online pet store in Australia. They have nine pet supplies stores based in and around Melbourne.
6. PETstock
PETstock doesn’t have as many physical stores as Petbarn and My Pet Warehouse but they have one right next to South Melbourne Market. You can pop over before or after visiting The Pet Grocer nearby.
7. The Paw Principality
