Mama finally took the opportunity to bring papa and me to Nassim Hill for dinner during our Regent Singapore staycation.
She enjoyed their brunch menu when she visited before and was happy to see doggy guests there too!
Due to poor lighting, we could not take proper photos of the food. But that shouldn’t be a reason not to write about it!
Dog-friendly Nassim Hill Bakery Bistro Bar
Nestled in the Tanglin Post Office building, Nassim Hill Bakery Bistro Bar boasts an extensive drinks list and classic dishes with both Western and Eastern influences.
Mama had the Tonkatsu ($21), which is a panko-crusted pork loin complemented with red cabbage slaw and a sous vide egg. The loin was well-marinated and fried perfectly. Sadly, the cut was a little too fatty and thick for mama’s liking. The dish also seemed to lack something – perhaps a carb may help to complete it and make it a more substantial meal.
Papa chose the Nassim Hill Double Decker Burger with a side of fries ($21). Even though the presentation has room for improvement, the juicy patties, together with the house made special sauce and balsamic grilled onions, were delicious.
The last time mama visited, she tried the popular Cheddar Cheese Bacon Waffles ($19) and she really liked them – a must try in her opinion!
The Chilli Crab Pasta ($16/$25) has also been highly raved about but mama thinks chilli crab at a seafood place is still a lot more satisfying.
There was also an afternoon tea special where the humans got a coffee and dessert at $8.95. They had the Apple Crumble, which came with a big scoop of vanilla bean ice cream! That was very generous of them 🙂
Most importantly, the crumble had the right amount of sweetness, chunky apples, and a crispy top. It was a great way to end the meal.
